The Platinum Rockstars have made San Diego their second home, following their first sold-out show at the Belly Up back in March. Over 800 rock lovers enjoyed the greatest hits of the 70s and 80s and demanded a speedy return. Always happy to return to the scene of the party, the boys of Platinum will re-rock the Belly Up on June 4th, 2011.
This time, the Platinum Rockstars are bringing a secret weapon: original guitarist Al Estrada will make a guest appearance as Eddie Van Halen. If you’ve never seen Al, you are missing the most spot-on EVH impersonation of all-time, right down to the custom tailored outfit and Variac’d boutique-wired Marshall head. Al’s chops are ridiculous, even his mistakes (if you’re fortunate enough to hear him make any!) sound like Eddie making mistakes.
Joining Al Estrada is Platinum Rockstars’ own amazing guitarist Roby Duron, recent winner of Guitar Center’s “King Of The Blues” semi-finals. This one-two punch of guitar heroes is sure to leave San Diego Platinum Rockstars friends begging for more. We’ll see you at the Big Show!
