The Taste Of Newport 2011 is the grand finale show of the summer and closes out another very busy season of rock ‘n roll for the Boys of Platinum. California cities rocked in 2011 included Agoura Hills, Pala, Cerritos, San Diego, Hollywood, Corona, Playa Vista and many more. We’d like to thank all our amazing fans, old and new, who made summer 2011 such an incredible experience!

The week finishes off with a very special charity event on Saturday, August 6th for Team Godfather Charities at our favorite haunt, the beautiful Belly Up Tavern in San Diego, CA.This is a charity event for ALS research and is open to the public. Rock Party! (our four-piece classic dance rock act, featuring vocalist David Victor, drummer Glenn Jost, lead guitarist Roby Duron and special guest Manny Aguirre on bass!) will keep the masses dancing.

The boys take a couple of weeks of vacation (though they’re most certainly not resting on their laurels–some big new musical happenings are in the works!) and then reappear to wrap up hot August nights in beautiful Santa Fe Springs on Friday, August 27th @ 7pm.

Friday, July 8th the Platinum Rockstars rocked Harada Heritage Park in Corona, CA with 90 blistering minutes of classic rock hits from Led Zeppelin, Boston, Journey, Def Leppard and Bon Jovi. Then Saturday, July 9th, David Victor, Glenn Jost, Chuck Wright and Roby Duron headed down to the Pala Casino in Pala, CA as “Rock Party!” featuring two hours of classic rock dance hits to an enthusiastic audience of 1000.

As if that wasn’t enough to stoke the fires, the Platinum Rockstars Superstar Show rolled out the rock on Sunday at Chumash Park in Agoura Hills, CA topped off by an amazing fireworks show.

The boy of Platinum will be doing two shows starting at 9pm. The first show will feature tributes to Led Zeppelin, Boston and Journey, while the second set takes no prisoners featuring a double shot of Bon Jovi and Def Leppard hits. The boys will even be venturing a bit deeper into the Leppard catalog, busting out a few they haven’t performed for awhile including “Foolin‘” and “Let It Go“.

Parking for the show is a snap–just park at the Hollywood & Highlands underground fortress, take the swizzle stairs up to the main level, then drop down the Mann Chinese Theater steps to Hollywood Blvd. and take a right. The Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood is on Hollywood Blvd. one door down.

This time, the Platinum Rockstars are bringing a secret weapon: original guitarist Al Estrada will make a guest appearance as Eddie Van Halen. If you’ve never seen Al, you are missing the most spot-on EVH impersonation of all-time, right down to the custom tailored outfit and Variac’d boutique-wired Marshall head. Al’s chops are ridiculous, even his mistakes (if you’re fortunate enough to hear him make any!) sound like Eddie making mistakes.

Joining Al Estrada is Platinum Rockstars’ own amazing guitarist Roby Duron, recent winner of Guitar Center’s “King Of The Blues” semi-finals. This one-two punch of guitar heroes is sure to leave San Diego Platinum Rockstars friends begging for more. We’ll see you at the Big Show!

The Belly Up was rockin’ and rollin’ to the greatest music of the 70s and 80s as the Platinum Rockstars gave their all in their first show of 2011. Over 800 screaming fans were treated to tributes to Led Zeppelin, Boston, Journey, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard as well as a new tribute to Whitesnake. We will post photos as soon as they’re available. Thanks again and we’ll see you again in San Diego later this year, you can count on it!

2010 has been berry, berry good for the Platinum Rockstars as they performed in front of well over 20,000 screaming classic rock fans at over 20 shows in California and Nevada.

Crowds included the 10,000+ at the Pat Benatar headlining Brea Summerfest in June, the 6,000+ at the Santa Clarita Summer Concert Series in July and the over 4000 rockers who saw the Platinum Rockstars supporting Foreigner at the Taste Of Newport in September.

We’d like to thank all our fans, old and new for helping us to make 2010 a breakout year for the show and we look forward to rockin’ you again in 2011!

Thanks to all of our fans who joined the Platinum Rockstars as they rocked the 2010 Taste Of Newport festival with certified platinum superstars Foreigner on Saturday, September 18th.

The Platinum Rockstars Taste Of Newport 2010 show featured tributes to Led Zeppelin, Boston, Bon Jovi and was capped by a blazing set of Def Leppard hits.

Def Leppard was the band our Facebook fans voted as our closer for the evening. It was no contest, as Leppard fans stomped the runner up, Bon Jovi. Thanks to all who participated in the vote!

Platinum Rockstars rock Taste In San Pedro

The Platinum Rockstars Superstar Show headlined the Taste In San Pedro for the second year in a row on Friday, August 6th 2010.

On a chilly evening, the Platinum Rockstars heated up the air performing five of their classic arena rock tributes at the show including perennial faves Boston, Journey, Def Leppard and Bon Jovi.

The Taste in San Pedro is a family-friendly foodie event in a fantastic setting in Point Fermin Park overlooking the Pacific Ocean on the cliffs of San Pedro.
