Platinum Rockstars as 80s icons Bon Jovi
The Platinum Rockstars Superstar Show hit the beautiful Belly Up in Solana Beach, CA for their second show on Classic Rock Night on July 23rd. The show was a tremendous success, with 587 paid attendance (just 13 rockers shy of a sellout) and a total crowd of 680+. This was only the show’s second visit to the Belly Up and it looks like it won’t be their last in 2010!
Friday’s show featured local faves FooU opening the show and getting the crowd fired up for the Platinum Rockstars. Many in the audience dressed in their 70s and 80s best in the spirit of the night.
The Platinum Rockstars show featured tributes to The Who (Zeppelin was cut due to another Zeppelin tribute scheduled for the following week), Boston, Journey, Van Halen, Def Leppard and Bon Jovi and included some special surprises in between sets.
